How to qualify
Grants are limited to the parishioners of Borden village to assist with education and hardship. Please use the map and postcode checker if you are in any doubt as to whether or not you are eligible to apply for a grant. Alternatively, contact the William Barrow's Charity in Sittingbourne directly.
Renewing your grant
Educational Grant Applications and Educational Grant Renewal Applications are considered by the trustees at their October meeting. For grant applications for the academic year commencing September, please submit your application between 1 June and 31 August prior to the academic year.
Education
Along with residing in the Parochial Parish of Borden, individuals must fit the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for a grant:
- Be under 25
- Note that priority will be given for grant applications for students attending tertiary education following completion of their secondary education. If you are seeking the grants for an alternative type of education, please contact the Clerk
Hardship / Disability
Along with residing in the Parochial Parish of Borden, individuals will be prioritised based on the following criteria:
• The individual is over the age of 60
• The individual is in need or suffering hardship or distress
